Rich in an exceptional heritage and dotted with hundreds of islands and islets that run along the coast with crystal clear waters, the north of Italy and what was a little more than twenty years ago Yugoslavia offer to lovers of culture, of laziness and gastronomy an unforgettable and unique experience in the world!

So many sites and cities that face the sea and that therefore visit each other more easily when you travel on the water. The ideal route starts in Venice, one of the most emblematic cities in Italy. The City of the Doges is rich in a story that is both fascinating and tormented. Venice has an impressive heritage, both architectural and cultural. Its historic buildings and palaces, known throughout the world, are complemented by international events such as its carnival, as well as museums with breathtaking collections. A cocktail that makes Venice one of the main tourist hubs of the country, but also a destination very popular by travellers from all over the world!

Another Italian city worth visiting is Bari, the capital of the Puglia region. For centuries, the city has been an important commercial but also cultural crossroads between Europe and the Middle East. Bari preserves its long history of monuments and must-see sites. The old town is seduced by the beauty and picturesque side of its winding streets. So, to discover it, nothing better than to get lost and fall, at the detour of one of them, on its shops and coffees where one can sip a delicious Italian espresso. Your walk will also take you to fascinating museums and majestic churches, such as the incredible Basilica of St Nicholas of Bari, which houses the saint’s relics.

We then leave Italy to reach neighbouring Greece, with a stopover in Katakolon. This small Greek village has less than 1,000 inhabitants. Nestled between its port and its hill, it has developed strongly in recent years thanks to the cruise ships that stop there. Katakolon, which is located in the semi-mountainous region of Pyrgos, today combines the charms of an authentic Greek village with the advantages of a well-equipped seaside resort.

Then head to the bustling Mykonos, the most festive and jet-set island in Greece! Because yes, we go to Mykonos to see as much as to be seen. Beyond the people’s side, the island exudes an incredible charm, especially thanks to its hundreds of small streets lined with maisonettes with heated walls and azure shutters. Mykonos is also known for its windmills and hundreds of chapels. In the past, the inhabitants of Mykonos were engaged in piracy and, in the event of a reef at sea, they vowed to build a chapel if they got out safe!
